Read Aloud and Translation video
This short video will show you how to use the "read aloud", accessibility and translation features on the website.
Read aloud can be really helpful for people who might be struggling to concentrate after Intensive Care (which is very common). This feature, as the name suggests, will read out the words or text on the website. It requires much less concentration.
The translation feature allows the words or text to be tranlated into over 100 different languages. It's powered by Google Translate and isn't always perfect (particularly when medical terms are used), but we very much hope that this feature will improve access to information for patients and families whose first language is not English.
The accessibility features include increasing the size of the font or words, changing the colour scheme of the website to make it easier to see and read, and using a digital bookmark or ruler when reading the text.
